Proud Husband and dotting dad Brad Pitt has opened up about life behind closed doors. The actor and wife Angelina Jolie, who met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2004, are parents to six children, Maddox, 14, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 7.
Speaking about their big brood and family life, he described it as "a lot of love, a lot of fighting, a lot of refereeing; a lot of teeth-brushing and spilling… Chaos, total chaos. But so much fun."
In a deeply honest interview with the Telegraph, the 51-year-old also said he never knew how much he could love until “I looked into the faces of my children.”
Despite their hectic schedules, the pair have said they will always make sure at least one of them is at home to take care of the children.
While talking about his big family, the actor said growing up he had a close friend who had lots of brothers and sisters and he loved staying with them.
And so from early on he knew wanted something similar when he was ready to start a family - 12 kids, in fact.
"Listen, Angie and I were aiming for a dozen, but we crapped out after six," he admitted.
The star also talked about his strict Christian upbringing and his “very, very tough” dad.
But Brad, who is an atheist, says he’s only strict when it comes to the boys.
"Girls do no wrong so I don’t have to be. I feel like my job is to show them around, help them find what they want to do with their life, put as many things in front of them, and pull them back when they get out of line, so they know who they are."
