A woman allegedly battered her way into a house in a scene reminiscent to The Shining to attack her husband - with a TOILET SEAT.

Angela Austin-Knight, 48, was arrested and now faces a charge of domestic violence following the attack in the early hours of October 17. Police in Florida said she attacked her husband with a toilet lid and hit him, according to an affidavit.  Police were called to a home in Truman Street, in the town of Sebastian, after reports of a physical disturbance.

The husband had raised the alarm and had told dispatchers that he decided it was best to back away and had “locked himself in the bathroom and his wife was attempting to gain access using a porcelain toilet lid”.
At the scene, police spotted Austin-Knight through a broken window.  She was standing in the kitchen holding a bottle of booze, according to police reports. The husband said he and his wife argued, and at some point they went outside.  He claims as Austin-Knight grew more violent, she started to “chaotically swing” in his direction, hitting his face and upper body, police said.  It was then that he ran indoors and locked the door.
“After realising the door was locked, Angela then grabbed a nearby porcelain toilet lid, and used it to break the kitchen window, where she made entry into the residence,” an affidavit states.
Once inside, she “threatened to hurt him further with the porcelain toilet lid.”  Austin-Knight, who appeared to be very intoxicated, gave different statements about what happened.
